Imran Khan said in his speech that if the loan of three billion dollars is not received, the country is afraid of default. If Pakistan defaults, inflation will be higher.
“We told the IMF that we support the deal until a new government is in place after the election, which will negotiate with the IMF again.”
He said that the current government did not help us at the time of FATF, but today “we are helping the government because the IMF needs the consensus of all parties.”
“We are helping only for the sake of the country even though 10,000 of our workers are in jail. There are cases on our leadership.
“Nevertheless, in order not to harm our country, we have decided that we support a standby agreement with the IMF until the elections are held.”
Imran Khan said that he told the IMF that until there is political stability in the country, economic stability cannot come.
