Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has expressed fear that he may be arrested on Tuesday.
In his recent interview given to American broadcaster CNN, Chairman PTI Imran Khan said that ‘All my senior leadership is currently in jail and I think that on Tuesday when I will be in court for bail in several cases. If I have to appear, there is an 80 percent chance that I will be arrested.’
Imran Khan claimed that “it seems that democracy is being destroyed.” For the elections, the government deviated from the constitution and also disobeyed the order of the Supreme Court. I think there will be no elections even in October unless the government is convinced that Tehreek-e-Insaf can be defeated. The government is afraid of the election and the government is taking every step that is against democracy.
In response to the question asked about the relationship with the army, he said, “I never had a problem with the army.” I was working with former Army Chief General Bajwa. They ended my government probably because General (retd) Bajwa had made a deal with the current Prime Minister to extend his tenure. Since then I have been saying that the only solution to Pakistan’s problems is elections.
Imran Khan blamed the leadership of PDM and said that PDM has allied with the establishment. The reaction of the way I was arrested was revealed, but the government used the violence in its favor and to destroy our party, and now more than 10,000 of our workers are in jail.
Imran Khan claimed that the government is sure that he (Imran Khan) will not be able to win the elections even if he is put in jail.
